HISTORY

YOUNG'S PAPER SALES INC. (YPSI) is a leader in the wholesaling, distributing and converting of paper/paper boards, and office and school paper supplies in the Philippines.

1972 - From a 3-desk office in Binondo, YPSI was started by founder Mr. Sammy Young as a small paper trading company for specialty papers and glassine in 1972. 

1980s- YPSI garnered the exclusive distributorship for the Phoenix brand of carbonless paper (NCR paper) from Oji Paper, one of the leading paper players in Japan. Phoenix has since maintained its reputation as a trusted brand in the carbonless paper market.

1990s to 2000s- Together with its sister company Golden Dragon Industrial Corp. and in preparation for the growing market demand of the local Printing industry, YPSI established its warehouse and converting facility in Meycauayan, Bulacan, and transferred its head office to Pasig. In the following years, the Group undertook to increase and improve its in-house production capacity and warehouse expansions.

2014 - YPSI also looked to venture into the Office and School Supplies segment and launched its flagship brand HOKKAIDO SNOW copy paper. This portfolio has since expanded to various paper products such as envelopes, folders, notebooks and writing pads.

2022-  While facing the challenges of the pandemic, the company strived to continue its reputation as a leading and reliable paper supplier in the Philippine market. The company proudly celebrated its 50th year in the Philippine paper industry.​
